My name is Jay Barrymore and I work and live in Morgan City, Louisiana.  I’m in my early  40’s, a single parent of two children, and enjoy the great outdoors as much as possible.  I found this site really interesting to help design, and did the photography and the captions for the pics.

Louisiana, and especially Morgan City is a fascinating place to live.  I enjoy touring the area by car and taking pictures of the local foliage (especially at the swamps).  I have even seen my share of alligators in the surrounding areas.  I am a former Californian,  Arizonan, and even Texan for a short time.  Nothing that I’ve seen so far rivals the scenic beauty of the landscape of Southern Louisiana, nor the festivity of the Mardi Gras and the French Quarter in New Orleans.
